For over generations CBS family camps have made an impact on many families and through the petition I want to respectfully demonstrate the impact it has had on so many peoples lives:) Please sign if you or your family has been positively influenced by CBS:)
Reading through all your stories about camp has been overwhelming. I am currently reaching out to leadership to share the depth of this support.

Worked on staff for a summer. Got to see "healthy" families. Made a big impression on me. Grew physically, emotionally and spiritually.
So very, very sad family camp is no longer.

Camp has been wonderful for my family for many years. It was our favorite time of the year together. Two of my kids were baptized at camp. Paul and Virginia have been very instrumental in all of that. Their leadership and example are fantastic. Please bring them back to family camp.

Regardless of the explanation this demonstrates poor planning by InterVarsity. The children who measure their year by counting down to family camp are devastated. Being able to have at least one more summer would have been acceptable but the way InterVarsity did this is unbelievable.

The Friesens are the most amazing people and I love that they have been running Campus by the Sea for 40 plus years and I would be devastated if they stoped running the camp. And me and my family will not be attending the camp if the Friesens are not running it.

Family camp at CBS is where I officially decided to comitt my life to Christ in High School. The counselors and The Freisen family taught me of my value in Christ and how to stand firm in my faith and purity. I want my sisters and brother to have that same opportunity!

Paul and Virginia have a passion for families and most definitely impacted ours. Every single year leaving family camp, we considered it our "family reset" point. It gave us an encouraging push to remember what we were fighting for. We feel like we have lost a family member now, knowing we aren't going back.

Our family has never experienced anything like Campus By The Sea. We have been both challenged and encouraged in our faith. It has become one of the safest places for our children to learn from the community of Jesus. Authentic. Truth-seeking. Loving. And Paul and Virginia are at the epicenter of it all. Their pursuit of truth has laid a foundation for this to happen. Golly, I could write a volume...

Our kids looked forward to CBS family camp all year, from the moment they stepped off the boat until the moment we stepped back on the boat the following year. As parents, we loved the sound doctrine and biblically accurate teachings of the Friesen's, the guest speakers, and the staff. We are praying for the powers that be at CBS.
