Petition purpose:
To unite the voices of the DCC Directors in an effort to get one more summer (2021) on our home properties, without being forced to share with another SA or get bumped from our desired weeks. It is a fair request as we are already far into the planning season and have been asked to change direction quickly.
Mostly, we would like to give the generations of campers, alumni, volunteers, etc the ability to have closure with their beloved camp properties (CWR & PH) since Covid cancelled our 2020 camps.
NOT looking to create bad blood with GSWISE but to inform of our wishes in a complete way. Many director voices will be much stronger than individual thoughts.

For most of us this has been a second home for generations. My son is 25 but he spent the first 11 years at camp starting at five months old. For myself this past summer would’ve been 40 years at the same camp. I would like to reach 40 years at Camp winding River. I would not be the person I am without Camp winding River, it wasn’t just Girl Scouts it was that Camp that made me who I am. My experiences I have had and the friends I’ve made which are now Family will be with me forever yes but we would all like to come together in person on camp next summer for our week to say goodbye
One more year!!!!

This place is way too special to just walk away from like this. We deserve a proper goodbye after everything 2020 took from us. Please just let us have one last summer at camp.
