natwest just announced they are keeping the branch open. i cant believe we actually pulled this off and saved our local cashpoint. thanks for sticking with me while we fought for this.
Not happy. Always a queue when I go in there so facilities clearly used by customers. Alternatives inconvenient and will create real issues for my 94-year-old mother who goes there weekly. Bad decision with no regard for customers, only shareholders.

Losing the last remaining bank in Barnes would be hugely detrimental to the large numbers of small businesses who trade in the locality and also to those people - including many pensioners - who prefer face-to-face contact when carrying out financial transactions.

Barnes residents really do need NatWest to remain open. Travel to the nearest NatWest branch in Hammersmith will be very difficult when Hammersmith Bridge is closed in 2018. Without NatWest in Barnes, there will no longer be a bank in Barnes!

4 members of my family bank there. It's the last bank standing. Such a shame. We've always enjoyed good and polite service, I expect we will all transfer our accounts to banks that have people and not auto announcements. Will they be leaving a cashpoint?

I can understand Nat West's reasons. Active businesses are closing, online banking is becoming even more popular but, surely its time for the major banks to consider merging their local business operation to better serve the communities that support them.

Leaving Barnes with no bank is not showing any community spirit...and will contribute to local businesses failing...and leave the elderly with no local banking option. Keeping it open...even on restricted times....would be the right decision.

Last bank left in Barnes... I would hope that such a large organisation as NatWest would have a sense of community responsibility. Post office branches are small, Hammersmith Bridge closure will make life more difficult for elderly etc.
