Mr. Willie Hinton is a male educator in the art of dance. Not only is he an educator, but he is a role-model. Willie Hinton is a father figure to a majority of his students. He is a miracle worker, a helping hand, an ear that listens to your every need. He is all of this, and asks for nothing in return. He changes the lives of all he touches, and for that everyone is grateful

It is because of mr. Willie that I have gotten over a lot of my social anxiety; before this year if I did something like drop a pen in front of people but he changed that. He is not only my favorite teacher, but one of my favorite people as well

My child does not have Mr. Hinton as a teacher but she has often spoke of him. He went out of his way one night to sit with her and a friend when I was running a few minutes late picking her up from an after school activity. He stated he just wanted her to be safe. Thank you Mr. Hinton for being a positive role model.

A phenomenal man a phenomenal teacher words can't explainwhen I left Longleaf due to the cancer battle with family Mr. Wille was the first teacher I told because he's a great father figure teacher and dancer I dance and because of his inspiration and whoever made the decision to let him go must be mistaken because he is longleaf

I dance at Cary Ballet and last year I took a make up class with Mr Willie. I only took one of his classes, but it was amazing. He's one of the best dance teachers I've ever had. He used so much energy in the dance choreography and he encouraged the class to do the same. Hopefully his boss realizes firing him is a huge mistake.

we all love Mr. Willie like even if you don't you do. He created a place for us to not only preform but a place to talk and share our problems. His positive energy made longleaf special. He showed he cared about his students and even people who didn't have him. He was there for us. He taught not only about dance but about life.

This school can be negative at times and it brings people down. & with Wille here, it brightens the school up, making everything okay & he's a really good dance teacher. Everyone loves his energy, he's very much needed. He's the reason why I'm still at this school! & I know a few students who will agree.

I don't typically get involved in this type of activity. As a business owner I understand the sensitive nature of personnel issues. However, I thought it important to express my disappointment in the boards decision to remove an instructor that has had such a positive influence on the students and the dance program at Longleaf School of the Arts. Mr. Willie's dedication to Longleaf is obvious, as is his love for his students. The loss of Mr. Willie is not only a loss to the students and the parents of Longleaf School it is a huge loss to the school itself. I would like the board to reconsider this decision.
