The Historic Board has officially granted the long-term permit for our murals. It is a relief to see these works preserved for the community to enjoy indefinitely. We should remain attentive to how these spaces evolve as we continue to appreciate the art that defines our streets.

The feedback from local business owners has been encouraging as they describe how the murals have revitalized downtown foot traffic. I am currently gathering these stories into a formal document to present to the Historic Board during our upcoming session.

Reaching one hundred signatures reminds me that our neighbors truly value the color and life these murals bring to downtown Marietta. This initial milestone gives us a grounded platform as we prepare to speak with the Historic Board. I am grateful to everyone who has taken a moment to affirm the importance of these public spaces.

Please keep the murals. They enhance the atmosphere of the Marietta Square. This past weekend we took a tour of the Atlanta Beltline. So much artwork to see there and it made me happy to think Marietta also has its own special outdoor art to display.
Please keep the murals!! If not, maybe a yearly rotation of new murals!! The murals not only bring families to the square and promote economic growth, but also promote the growth of the arts.
A huge amount of hard work, time, and expertise was put into making these murals! The entire community and further love and appreciate these murals. It would be truly disheartening to see them gone so soon. Please let them stay! They were made with our culture and history in mind and they really exemplify what a great city this is!
please keep the murals. they're beautiful and add such character to the city. i appreciate the history of marietta immensely, but cities need to create new history, too. murals are a great way to do so
Please keep the beautiful art that makes the gem city shine even brighter! Even my 5 year old asks to go back to the square to look at the art (and get a treat)!

As a local artist, I believe that we should support local art. I think that these murals have added another level of beauty and charm to the square. Please keep them!
