Steve is staying at USYD and I am honestly shaking because the news finally came through that they are keeping him on for next semester. I never thought five hundred and seventy seven signatures could actually force their hands but we did it and he is officially safe for now. …

Rumour has it that our beloved Steve might be at risk of losing his position at USYD.

As this is a rumour we aren’t sure for what reason this may be (yet!) but before it’s too late we’ve created a petition for you to sign and leave comments on your experiences with Steve.

Help us convince the decision makers that his teaching skills made lectures worth turning up to and his lessons were truly memorable with his great efforts into making classes enjoyable !

I checked the count just now and saw we are creeping up on five hundred signatures which is honestly wild because I really thought the momentum might fizzle out by now. If everyone reading this would just send the link to a few mates who actually sat in Steve's classes we could honestly breeze past this milestone before the day is out and honestly that would send such a loud message to the department heads who keep ignoring us.

I trained under Steve in Peterborough UK. He’s truely a fantastic Radiographer. Ask him about glasses in the supermarket car park. Please keep him there. Because I know he loves being close to his daughters.

Steve is a wonderful teacher. Very engaging, very passionate and most importantly doesn't beat around the bush. He tells it how it is, and this was so handy going into placement and starting work as a radiographer as I knew realistically what to expect. He cannot be replaced!

Steve is an awesome lecturer and teacher. Very well structured lectures and tutorials. I graduated from Sydney Uni in 2010 and still to this day retained his info taught more than anyone else’s. He is an all round fantastic person and lecturer. Steve must stay!

Steve is an Awesome teacher. He made the classes interesting, fun & enjoyable. He helped me through the tough times during clinical placements and I would not have made it through my Masters degree without him. He’s the best assets that Usyd has! Don’t make the mistake of losing him!

Please don’t take him away. He has been the only motivation and his awesome lectures makes me want to go to uni. Within a strange place of new faces and no friends, no acquaintances and no expectations; his passion encourages me and shed some light on my journey.

Steve made such a huge difference to my learning. He was more than an educator, he genuinely cared about our success as radiographers. He was an inspiration and was made to be a lecturer. I hope he is always able to continue with what he loves and is good at.

For goodness sakes, there is nobody better than Steve he has a sense of humour and knows his stuff. I would rate his lectures at the absolute top of any of the degrees I have completed. Now paying the hecs debt for Steves content out of my own pocket is frankly about the only aspect I am happy paying, especially as I am no longer doing radiography thanks to the daft ahpra beurotwats who don't seem to like health care for Australians. Keep Steve ya daft pratts.

Keep Steve for his productivity, friendliness, and student center lectures. He has positively touched a lot of lives.
