The first year photography class and myself believe that he is a huge asset to the photography department, and it would be a crime to let him go. So please help us keep John Blakemore educating here at the University, we need student signatures to make this happen! The volume of support has now reached a point where university administration is officially acknowledging the petition. I have requested a formal meeting with the department head to discuss contract renewal options for John Blakemore. My efforts remain focused on securing a seat at the table to present these concerns directly.

John is the reason I actually enjoy my classes. Derby would be a massive bore without him.
Keep him on! He knows his stuff better than anyone else in that department.
Such a legend. Helped me out so much during my first year project when I was totally stuck.
His work is incredible and he actually cares about our progress. Bad move uni admins.
HE IS THE BEST LECTURER WE HAVE. Absolute joke that they are letting him go.
