We as members of this community, are fully in favour of Kings Takeaway staying on the site, formally known as Catherine Ellis Resource Centre.

Since Kings Takeaway has occupied this site, it has become a well maintained area and it's no longer exposed to vandalism, fly tipping and other misuse. Keeping Kings on this site will generate rental income for Hull City Council and stop being a vacant, derelict liability for the Council.

Kings Takeaway has been a part of this community for the past 27 years.

Updates

January 8, 2015

The stories shared about our local history show how essential this business has become to our daily lives. I am currently preparing a formal letter to the local planning office to ensure they understand that our neighborhood values stability over neglect.

January 8, 2015

Reaching this level of support confirms that our neighbors recognize the value this business brings to the estate. It is heartening to see such a clear consensus that the current site should remain a vibrant part of our community rather than returning to a state of neglect.

Kings Takeaway is without a doubt a part of the Orchard Park community. I've always been a customer at Kings takeaway since being a child and to think of it not being a part of the community is heartbreaking. The staff are excellent and have a community spirit that is appreciated in that area. Please keep Kings Takeaway open!

I don't live in hull anymore I have moved to Cheshire, so when I come back to see my sister who lives on orchard park I always get kings. It is by far the best takeaway and plus the tomato and garlic pizza bread is not sold up here!!

Kings must stay on O.P.E. , it remains the firm favourite of the community with long established roots.

listen to what the people on the estate want in THEIR new shopping centre instead of filling it with shops we don't need and stop ruining already well loved and established businesses on the estate !

leave it were it is or lose money and have people leave rubbish then waste more money cleaning up but that's hull city council for you

kings has been part and parcel of north hull estate, supplying and feeding great foods from pizzas to kehbabs for well over 20 years now,why close a perfectly good business for nothing,it just puts people out of work, dont do as asda has done by closing tills to open self service stations, which put people out of work.

How can you move a established business that's lasted 27 years, great food and should stay in the area.
