Please sign the petition to keep D&D Bait & Tackle Open! It has been family owned and operated for 17 years and we hope to be in business for many more years.
The campaign is approaching the one thousand signature milestone. Reaching this target will provide the leverage necessary to present our case to the local zoning board.

The response to this campaign has been truly significant and reinforces the importance of preserving this local business. This momentum demonstrates how much our community values the history and character of this establishment.

The feedback from local business owners regarding the future of the store has been encouraging. I am currently organizing a formal meeting with the landlord to discuss a sustainable path forward for the property.

The Roots are a great family and have been through tough times but have always befriended and helped the community here on the island. The DnD Bait shop is not just a bait shop..they are apart of the island and they are family to all of us. Love you Root family!

This store is an important part of matlacha. We don't need more cape coral. We need more old florida. Don't ruin a good thing and leave matlacha and the rest of pine island for that matter alone.

Government needs to stay out of of the way of businesses who do nothing wrong. Besides, this is the only good tackle shop west of Cape Coral. We don’t need more restaurants in Matlacha/pine island.

I can't imagine D&D not being there... Always have bait and the family is amazing! Considering the attitudes of some of the other bait store owners, and the obnoxious amount they charge, the island and those who fish it need our Roots right where they're at!

I remember my dad buying bait there since I could remember, now as an adult I buy bait there frequently and it’s always the same “hey bud how ya doin? How ya been? ” When I walk in the door. Some day I hope my kids are fortunate enough to see d&d for what it truely is.
