Please please keep this store open- not everyone can do shopping online- I personally use it twice or three times a week, preffering to see stuff that I want.
I am such a great fan of Waitrose. The Dartford branch is an oasis in a town that is rather down at heel. The quality of the food is superb, the staff partners are exceptionally knowledgable and so helpful. The shop is light and airy, spacious aisles and a great atmosphere. I shall be so disappointed if it closes, it is the one quality store in Dartford and if it closes I will not shop in the other supermarkets, ie Sainsbury - where you have to pay to park, and Tesco-if it ever comes. I have never and will never use Tescos on principal as I deplore their ethics. Please can some arrangement with the Orchard Centre landlords be made to enable Waitrose to remain?
Please keep it open. It will be sad if it is not there. It will take business away from Dartford and the orchard shopping centre as it will make me less likely to go shopping in Dartford as a whole if Waitrose is no longer there.
Sadly, no other store in Dartford stocks the kind of products i buy from Waitrose so i expect i'll be buying these locally to where i work in Central London and bringing them home, thus reducing the amount of money i spend in Dartford. It may not be a fortune but it all adds up and Dartford will be the loser. Very sad that Waitrose have decided to get out altoghether, no suggestion even of creating a 'Little Waitrose' store to replace it.
I have always shopped at Waitrose Dartford because I believed the choice of organic food was far greater than the competition, but more than that, I liked how they portrayed themselves as an ethical retailer and supporter of local business. I'm afraid that I was wrong and Waitrose is not unlike any other major supermarket out there, where the strive for ever increasing PROFIT is its main motivator.

Waitrose offers a good range of high quality products at reasonable prices. In a time of being encouraged to eat better quality food it seems ludicrous to close this store.
