As a student here at Southern University , I don't feel that it is right that we were not informed as to why this decision has been made. How do we expect higher growth of our institution when the decision makers are making decisions like this.

It is extremely important that we keep Llorens! He is the face and force behind Southern's recent turn around. He is a people person and respects and actually speaks and shake hands with Alumni and students. This is what we need SU class of 1970.

Dr. James Llorens is the best Chancellor that we have had at Southern since Dr. Spikes. There has been a new excitement for and about the university since Dr. Llorens has been at the helm. Please, let's keep this positive vibe going!!

There must be some selfish reason for them to make such a ridiculous move. Why get rid of a guy who actually puts in effort to make SU a better university, not to mention donating tens of thousands of dollars of his own money to go towards a scholarship fund.

Given all of the struggles this university has gone through in recent year, the last thing we need to do is to once again make a change in leadership and signal to the world that we are a rudderless ship. This was a stupid move and I pray the Board reverses itself.

Chancellor Llorens has been an exceptional man. In my travels to SUBR x2 for homecoming 2011 & 2013 he and his wife were great hosts. As a graduate and parent of the reigning Miss SU I could not ask for a better representative of our flagship univetsity.
