I really thought this might just fizzle out but seeing how many people actually care about our roads staying clear is honestly overwhelming. It makes me think that maybe the council will actually listen if we keep this pressure up because the sheer volume of comments here is just wild.

I have great concerns the lack of gritting could lead to a terrible accident on the roads. Also the impact on congestion at Malin Bridge will be considerable, where already air pollution is a concern.
during winter 2011 and 2012 my daughter was absent from school due to the school bus not being able to get to Dungworth. This was with the roads being gritted. If the roads are not gritted then she could miss 2 or 3 weeks from school if the village becomes cut off.
short sighted approach to cuts putting children at risk and increasing pressure on A+E departments (where there will be no staff as they wont be able to get to work or will be at home looking after their children when school is shut)
As a business in the area it is vital that the roads are kept clear. Without clear roads it could mean possible closure which would have knock on consequences for the community
The council's website states that "The Priority 2 routes cover ... main routes to less populated areas." However their plans leave some villages in Bradfield Parish miles from the nearest gritted road.
This is a particularly hilly area in a city built on hills. Restricting gritting is not a sensible option. It will lead to an increase in claims for negligence when there is a sharp increase in accidents

Bradfield Parish is already one of the worst areas in Sheffield to negotiate in bad weather. Hills have to be gritted . This is just common sense. How many minor bumps, serious accidents or even fatatilties will in take before Sheffield Council sees sense
