The church board has concluded their review and confirmed that Brandon Steinke will be removed from his leadership position effective immediately. This result follows the formal submission of evidence and the subsequent internal investigation process. I will continue to monitor the transition to ensure the church adheres to this commitment.
I am requesting that the Abundant Life-UPC Church & it's affiliates investigate Pastor Brandon Steinke & the evidence presented to them by Maria Ochs regarding the shooting of two dogs on July 27th, 2013 to decide if he was "just" in his motives during this event. I would like his merit & ability to lead people based on his judgement & actions that day reconsidered by the church. The role he fills as a pastor who leads his people according to biblestudytools.com, is "called of God to be the earthly undershepherd with the responsibility of feeding, equipping, leading, and training the sheep in the way the Lord has ordained" & it is undoubtedly an important role & a divine one with certain rules & responsibilities that come with it.
I am currently organizing the evidence provided by Maria Ochs into a formal dossier for the church governing body. I am preparing a direct request for a meeting with the church leadership to address the discrepancy between these actions and the expectations of the pastoral role.

The growth of this petition shows that the community expects a formal review of the incident from church leadership. I am currently finalizing a letter to the board of directors that formally requests an investigation based on the mounting public demand for transparency.

Unacceptable behavior for any human let alone someone who claims to lead a congregation.

How can a man of god do something so cruel? Animals cant defend themselves. This is sick and he needs to answer for it.
