This petition is to send in to both the Chief of Police and anybody else who can make something happen! On February 11, 2010 Columbia, MO Police department entered a home to serve a search warrent. Upon entry to the home, one of the officers shot and killed a FAMILY PET in front of the familys young son. The son was seen cowering beside his mother after watching his dog die. THIS IS NOT RIGHT! The officer shot the dog upon entry to the home only because the dog was a pit bull. A video on youtube records the dogs dying screams. This killing was inhumane and completely uncalled for! Lets be the voice of an animal that did no wrong, and didn't deserve to die. Animals can't speak for themselves, so we have to do it for them! The only way justice will be served for this animal is to have the acting officer REMOVED FROM DUTY! We can't let someone like this be on a police force! He odviously that he doesn't hesitate to use his gun, even if it is against something as defensless as a family pet. HE MUST BE REMOVED FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT IMMEDIATLY!!!!!
