A Call to Action for Justice and Accountability
We’ve now passed 180 signatures on this petition, and when combined with the previous petition and the stories shared across social media, the number of individual accounts is over 400.
Every single signature and comment represents a voice demanding accountability. If you or someone you love was harmed, dismissed, ignored, or put at risk at Cox Medical Center Branson, your experience matters — and it deserves to be heard.
If you have information that could help inform agencies capable of initiating oversight or investigation, I encourage you to sign. And if you feel safe enough, share a brief version of your story. Even a few sentences can help reveal patterns that would otherwise stay hidden.
I have already filed my lawsuit in Taney County and am awaiting a decision on the injunction/temporary restraining order. This petition is a key part of showing the court how many people in this community have been affected by this hospital’s actions.
Many of you have told me you were never able to hold the hospital accountable because:
- You couldn’t find an attorney willing to take the case
- You were lied to, intimidated, or discouraged by the administration
- You didn’t realize what had happened until much later
- The hospital delayed and stalled until your filing deadline passed
- The hospital swept it under the rug
Your time to file a lawsuit may have expired, but there is no statute of limitations on reporting what happened or helping protect future patients. Your voice still matters. Your loved one’s suffering — or death — can still save someone else’s life.
If you or someone you know experienced things like overmedication, dismissal, incorrect treatment, poor care, altered medical records, unexplained bills, or harm caused by hospital staff that was never addressed, you now have a place to be heard.
My husband and I have already been dragged through the mud — lied about, ridiculed, dismissed, bullied, and intimidated by those who do not want this information to surface. The only people who oppose oversight, transparency, and accountability are those who benefit from keeping the truth buried. These measures will push out the bad and elevate the good within this institution.
I will take every bit of negativity that comes my way and keep moving forward — for my husband, and for every person who has been silenced, dismissed, or too afraid to speak. I will not stop. Not now, not ever.
I gave this hospital every opportunity to acknowledge their mistakes, correct the record, and resolve this without further escalation. Instead, they chose to double down — continuing to deny, distort, and present material facts in ways that do not align with the evidence. Their refusal to take responsibility is exactly why I am pushing forward.
