I was hospitalized with Pancreatiris and was given heavy narcotics to help the pain for the entire 3 weeks I was there.When it came time to go home the doctor told me to take Tylenol.I was in withdrawals off of the opiods after coming home being sicker than I went in.I have a damaged pancreas and am on EPI replacement therapy now.I was never asked if I needed a prescription to take home.The saddest part is that it took me over 6 months to get on a pain management regimen.

My mother has been gone for a month now. She was seen a cox Branson and sent home after 6 days with heart failure and died 4 hours later at home.

I have been treated like a peon of the earth by Cox in Branson too many times. Was sent to a sports medicine doctor and orthopedic surgeon over 15 times, had 5 MRIs and multiple xrays. Was never given a diagnoses or ANY TREATMENT whatsoever other than physical therapy. Still waiting now, 10 months, for an appointment scheduled with a neurosurgeon in Springfield. Horrible how they treat people and if you do not have donation money, or the best insurance, they won't help you at all.

I am a newly former employee of this Branson Cox location, I had to leave my position at Cox Branson after 5yrs because I was being bullied and called into office many times for being "too compassionate" over the 5yrs I was told to not get close to my patients! Another co worker quit 5days before me and she was given a write up because she used words of "endearment" :( my heart breaks because so many patients are getting treated like this every day and if we as employees stand up we get knocked down by out supervisors! I hope this hospital gets the change it needs!

I was treated for severe diverticulitis in 2021. I was at the ER a few times at Cox Branson. I was admitted twice to hospital for 7 days each time. I followed a strick diet. The third time I was admitted they did surgery. They told my husband it wouldn't take long. I was in surgery much longer. He was told because the infection was so bad. I was cut from my navel to my public bone. My blood count was very low. So week I nearly passed out when trying to walk. I started having indigestion so bad I couldn't eat. (I had NEVER been sick before) I was close to 70 then. The night before they sent me home I had to go to the bathroom. I started vomiting yellow liquid. It COVERED the bathroom floor. I was still discharged the next day. The next night after I was discharged my husband had to call 911 I was so sick I past out on the side of the bed. I was taken to the nearest hospital and my family was told I had an intestinal blockage. I was transferred back to Cox. I was admitted. A NG tube was placed by the prior hospital in ER. I was there 7 more days. My incision had some staples to come loose. My abdomen had a hole in it 3 centimeters deep at that time. No one ever did a wound culture. This was in April. My incision did not heal until October. Come to find out I had MRSA in my wound. Home health did a culture. The tunnel was 6 centimeters deep. After all that due to all the infection I had an abdominal hernia. But had changed drs. He wouldn't touch it. Sent me to arkansas university where Dr Sexton ( wonderful doctor)did the surgery. He said the hernia was as bid as a ladies basketball. My incision healed in 2 weeks. Due to my surgeries I had back spasms and so much pain I couldn't stand. I am finally better after 5 years. I still can't walk or stand for very long at a time. I no longer am able to shop like I used to. I honestly thought I was going to die and in so much pain. I am a RN but never been sick. I was so sick I didn't relate all my symptoms to what I was taugh

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2023,had lumpectomy and 4 weeks of radiation therapy, was told I was cancer free after completing treatment at Cox Branson. Fast forward to late 2025 and I'm told not only was I not cancer free from 2023/2024, I went from stage 0 non invasive to stage 1 invasive. The surgeon didn't remove calcifications in lumpectomy, so had to have another surgery to remove said calcifications and the stage 1 tumor. Currently waiting for new doctors to decide on a treatment plan. 3 different attorneys said I have a case but wouldn't take it. I hate that the doctors who didn't treat me properly (but still got paid)will be practicing their negligence on others.

For anyone saying they dont prep for organ donations is a bunch of houey. i know for a fact they do. They also get mad if you come back within 30 days because i guess they are fined so thats when you are most likely to die and have your organs taken. A few years ago a couple of VPs died rumor was they were going to put a stop to it all. and yes there is a top floor where god knows what goes on happens. you have ever reason and proof that a tro needs issued if it isnt then youwill know the judge in in cahoots with them.

I need to talk to whoever is doing this. Im tired of not talking. I've worked for the hospital for many years. I worked in the Executive Offices. I am.dying so now it's time to tell all and when I do it will not only.confirm things it will make you sick and question everything you thought you knew about branson and the hospital. I have documents and a thumb drive just for the occassion.

I have had my own experiences with this place as I have been going all my life.

They are terrible , they let my Son die , they were releasing him and he died , how does this happen ?

Went there yesterday to have pain in right kidney and left shoulder pain was there 7 hours all that was addressed was my shoulder not my right kidneybeing there 7 hours I received pain medication of Fentnyly then was sent home another lady was treated just as badly and she had right kidney pain and was sent home at the same time I was X Pamela Stephan

Malpractice against Cox Urgent Care. No attorney would take because Taney county favors medical institutions. Went in for left sprain ankle left with that and a broken right leg. In records said I threw myself on the ground. Lies lies lies!

Our medical system is so messed up. My husband passed away August 14 2025. He was admitted to Cox in Springfield. He was used like a guinea pig. Test after test after test. Then the next day the same tests. He was very against getting a blood thinner. Re refused for 2 days. After the 2nd day his evening nurse came back and had a talk with my husband asking him why he changed his mind and allowing them to give him blood thinners. He never gave them permission to give them. He also told the nurse this. He was livid! That's saying it mildly. They passed it off as him recieving diabetes medicine. We know they lied. Why would a nurse ask him this question if it wasn't true!

I have seen many people I love be failed at the hands of Cox in Branson. I wouldn’t trust them with my children or I.

Cox South Springfield, MO treated me horribly after being transported there with a hip fracture. I was placed in a dark closet with no call button and ignored for almost 3 days. I finally got the attention of a passing janitor, everyone else ignored my cries. When I approached the powers that be with my claims I again was ignored. I don't want this happening to anyone else. I will never darken the doorstep of a Cox Health Facility.

My brother was an alcoholic, and his health was deteriorating. He was diagnosed with white matter disease in his brain. He needed a wheelchair towards his end. He fell down at his home, and i called an ambulance for him. Cox Hospital in Branson Mo. He wasn’t at the hospital very long,because the staff pushed him outside, and told him someone needs to pick him up. He died about a month later. Before he passed we wanted to take him back to the hospital, but he refused stating they won’t do anything. He was afraid to go back after the treatment he was given.

I have heard countless stories of people I know and love being unheard and dismissed in this hospital. Currently going through the situation of watching a family member who visited and they dismissed his symptoms as gas and told him he was fine. Next day, he was in excruciating pain and lost consciousness to which he was then taken back and admitted. He declined for 4 days while admitted in their care. They specifically said time after time they did not know the cause of the issues going on with his pancreas, did not ask essential information needed for treatment or further diagnosis (such as if he was able to use the restroom which caused further issues) and apparently didnt think transferring him in the beginning for early intervention was the best course of action. Instead, by day 4 he was beyond swollen, on a ventilator, and they were suggesting he may not make it through. An angel at this hospital urged that they transfer him to Cox springfield stat, and he is now showing small signs of improvement rather than rapid decline with the proper care and action plan.
