We ask for no leniency and Davey Ruddick to prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law once arrested. Mr. Ruddick has not been arrested to date.
November 29th of 2018 at around 6:55 am James was hit head on by Davey Ruddick an uninsured wrong way drunk driver at a high speed. His initial injuries were punctures of left lung, small intestines and colon. Parts of his colon and small intestines were removed. Fractures and compound fractures of his right tibia right fibula 3 right metatarsals, both hip dislocations, compound fractures of the pelvis, torn left ACL and PCL nasothemoid complex fractures, maxillary compound fractures, multiple mandible fractures, orbital fractures on bot sides of the face, fractures in the frontal bone, right globe rupture, left retinal tears, multiple foot fractures, left ribs with multiple fractures and 2 right ribs with multiple fractures. Basically it scattered his face, I had to bring in a picture of him for them to reconstruct it, his right eye burst like a grape. He has had countless surgeries and continued complications. This has left James disabled and our family and financial Peril and Davey Ruddrick hasn't spent any time in jail to date. A drunk deiver had ruined our family and hasn't been brought to justice

The local authorities continue to ignore the fact that a drunk driver ruined an innocent life and walked away without spending a single day behind bars. People tell me they are shocked by this cowardice but shock does not serve justice for James. Davey Ruddick thinks he can hide while we remain in financial ruin and I intend to make his name impossible to ignore.

I am sickened and saddened that this drunk driver wasn't arrested immediately after being released from the hospital. I can't fathom that any justice system would allow this to happen, let alone ours. Please put this wrong to a right.
This was not just an accident...this was negligence pure and simple. James Down's life (as well as his family's) was spun around and turned upside down that November morning. Davey Ruddick should have to endure some major consequences for his selfish and thoughtless actions that day.
It is a shame that the person responsible for James’ damage and disability, and the trauma it has caused his family, has not had to answer for his CRIME. PLEASE prosecute this man to the fullest extent of the law. He should not be able to do this to anyone else!
If this man is allowed to get away with something like this this time he’ll do it again. Next time he may kill someone. James’ life is changed forever because of the terrible choice this man made. He needs to be held accountable.
How is it that a drunk driver can get away scot free with nearly killing someone and forever altering the trajectory of his life? Is this what Texas has become? The guy who hit James needs to pay for his crime.

This young man deserves justice! Driving drunk is against the law and innocent people pay for their crimes. Arrest Davey Ruddrick and keep him in jail! He is still out driving drunk!
