On June 1, 2013 Aaron Juarez died as a result from being punched once in the face, knocked unconscious, causing him to fall backwards, hitting his head on the concrete parking lot. Aaron hit his head, resulting in severe head trauma from which he could not survive. The man responsible for this is David Alvarez, 31 years old from Corpus Christi, Texas. The attack happened at the Whataburger located on Cimmeron and Saratoga in Corpus Christi after Aaron Juarez accidently dinged David Alvarez's brother's 2013 SUV. Aaron apologized but the Alvarez brothers didn't want to hear it. David punched Aaron when he wasn't looking. David Alvarez was arrested on Thursday June 6 and has a bond set at $200,000. Mr. Alvarez's family and his attorney have requested a reduction of that bond. This petition has been started to ensure that doesn't happen. David Alvarez was already out on a bond for a DUI. He has a criminal past, since 2001, that includes two DUIs, credit card fraud and theft and possession of marijuana. The Juarez/Garza family, along with Aaron's friends need your help. We need your signatures on this petition to ensure that David Alvarez's bond reduction be denied and that he remain locked up until he is to go to trial for the crime of murder of which he has been charged. We lost a son, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, coworker. We lost an amazing human being in Aaron because of David's actions that night. A senseless act that changed the lives of everyone involved forever. Please help us keep David Alvarez from getting out of jail and possibly becoming a flight risk. Thank you

We just hit 2,500 signatures to show the court that David Alvarez belongs behind bars. This coward took a life over a dent in a truck and now he wants a bond reduction. We are not letting that happen.

I hope you get what your asking for. And to the person who says he knew David and says he's innocent how is hitting someone which causes them to die not a crime? Drunk or not David should have never put his hands on another person if your not willing to deal with what happens afterwards.

This is not a man we want out on the streets. He would not only be a flight risk but when anger could hurt someone else. He has already killed a man over a minor traffic accident. Just think what he would do over something worse than that. Keep him in jail please do not lower his bail.

Of course, money supposedly fixes everything. Like this bond of his that he's pleading for. But in reality, money does NOT fix everything. Like that man's life. Need I say more? The people demand justice.

Although I doubt if David Alvarez intended to kill Aaron V. Juarez he is fully responsible for Aaron's subsequent death. Therefore i believe David Alvarez is guilty of and should be charged with manslaughter.

Even if it was accidental that Aaron's head struck the pavement, the strike that put him there was done "with malice aforethought." The intent was there to harm him. So it was murder, pure & simple. I hope the judge & jury can see that and act accordingly.

Monsters like this are a danger to everyone around them. It's not so much that they need to be punished for their actions. It's that others need to be protected lest they suffer the same fate!
