Francis Farrell was found with head injuries in Frog Lane, Wigan, in the early hours of 17th June. He died in hospital three days later. David Horner, 23, admitted manslaughter and was sentenced to three years and four months in prison at Liverpool Crown Court. 'Horner, desperate for a cigarette, carried out a totally unprovoked attack which ended in tragedy' 'He left Francis lying in the road, unconscious and seriously injured' Mr Farrell was later found unconscious by a passing taxi driver who called an ambulance. He died three days later. Horner could be released October 2013. The family of Francis feel they haven't had justice. Please sign so their voice can be heard and give them a chance to try and stop Horner's early release.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have chosen to stand with the Farrell family during such a difficult time. This momentum is entirely due to your kindness and I truly never expected our message to travel this far.

3 years for taking a life? Absolutely disgusting. Where is the justice for the family he left behind. This guy needs to stay locked up much longer.

Heartbreaking. Thinking of the family during this time. 3 years is nowhere near enough for what he did.

3 years is a joke. unprovoked attack and he just left him there like that. hope he stays serving full time.
