The council has reversed their decision and my father will be allowed to remain in his home. This outcome provides a profound sense of relief that is difficult to put into words. I am deeply grateful for the attention you brought to this situation and we will remain vigilant to …
Please help!!! My Dad is being made homeless by Maldon council and if something doesn't change he will be homeless in less than 3 weeks. Please sign and share this petition and help my Dad stay in his home. His story can be read here https://www.essexlive.news/news/essex-news/man-cou...
Maldon Council should be focusing on building much needed affordable homes and not wasting tax payers money to demolish existing homes, we are in the middle of a housing and homeless crisis. What in God’s name are they thinking

This home is doing no harm to anyone, and does not damage the rural setting. Pursuing this is a waste of tax payers money. There are planning breaches that need to be enforced, but this is not one of them. The council perhaps should have done something in 1988, but clearly they didn't so why waste money 20 years later.

This is just outrageous. Surely this property is causing no harm to anybody else and seeing as it was built in 1988 if there were any problems they would have come to light by now.

Everyone should read the full background history to what has happened over the years. As for the Council - why have you continued to take Council Tax? This is another appalling move by Maldon Council who are known to be one of the worst Councils in the country when applying for planning consent. When it comes to their own needs, they are land grabbers.

Quite ridiculous, it seems quite feasible that living onsite as John is, is not unusual. Maybe Maldon D.C. should look and see just how many other Councils do allow owners of businesses to live on their land to assist their businesses. Think again, as I said quite ridiculous attitude from people who should learn to be more compassionate and understand their responsibilities. Surely he is also bringing in money to the area.
