Billie final of Sunny bank road has been living at his home for over forty years with our late Grand Mother Jean O’keefe.
Jean and Billie were known to the community as two of the nicest people and were forever welcoming people into their home, the home has been in the family for over fifty years with many memories created by sons, grand sons , niece and nephews.
I for one have enjoyed twenty severn golden years as a grandchild at Sunny Bank road. In august this year we lost our beloved Jean O’keefe to an illness , through this time the family and billie applied to succeed the tenancy however due to the rapid illness of Jean we were out of time.
Billie has his home and two dogs, the only thing thats keeping his spirits high, however NPT - Homes are taking the home away from Billie and the family. We believe he has the right to see out the rest of his days at his property and moving him would damage his well being and leave the family with too much heart ache to bare.
From my understanding we are not the only family to go through this, hence why I am creating this petition not only to save Billies home but to stand up to what we believe is morally wrong! Surely we can beat these people in numbers and if you do anything today please take a moment to sign this petition.

NPT Homes is still hiding behind cold bureaucracy while Billie sits in that house wondering if he will be thrown onto the street. Their refusal to acknowledge the human cost of this eviction is shameful and we are not going to let them sweep this under the rug.

Please allow Billy to keep his home and the memories he has made there with Jean and their family. I have known Billy for 34 years and he has always lived in this house in SunnyBank Road
Billie should be allowed to stay and statements by family, neighbours etc as well as things like post addressed to him, bank accounts etc should all be taken into account. Also his dignity should be preserved - he'd probably go downhill fast if forced to live among strangers in a different environment.
He should be allowed to stay as moving him would be too much for him to cope with. Surely it will cost more to move him, than change the tenancy to his name. If electoral registers are checked they can see how long he has been living there
Jean was one of the nicest women you could meet and Billie is the same, an absolute gentleman. I think it is appalling that being a tennant at his home for 40 years holds no weight in this decison.
Think this is wrong!! I lived opposite Billy and Jean, next door to her sister Pat, and they were great neighbours. How can the people doing this sleep at night!!? For shame on you. Hope all works out and Billy is allowed to stay in the home he's lived in for over 40 yrs.
He should keep his home, someone needs to live there, so why not him, it's not right for him to lose both his house and his wife.

Housing is not just about somewhere to sleep & eat, it is a home, it is a build up of many memories, some sad but many Happy, as someone is getting older memories are often all they have, let him see out his days in the only place his memories are real and a comfort
