When told by a TMZ reporter that almost 2,000 Palestinians had been killed in Gaza, Joan Rivers responded with mock shock and "You're dead, you deserve to be dead....At least the ones that were killed were the ones with low
IQs.” Please see link http://youtu.be/j-5Q7yuaXjM There has been so much support in Bristol for the Human Rights of the Palestinian People. If you want to express your repulsion at such vile racism and have a real impact locally then please sign this petition which will be sent to the Colston Hall, where she's due to perform on the 12th October. Not much time people, get signing!
For more information about how to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people see https://www.facebook.com/groups/bristolforpalestine/?ref=ts&fref=ts or check out the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign http://www.palestinecampaign.org/
I have sent a formal letter to the Colston Hall management detailing the concerns raised in this petition. They have acknowledged receipt and I am currently waiting for a response regarding their position on the upcoming performance.

The scale of this response is sufficient to move the conversation to the next stage. I am finalizing the formal letter to the Colston Hall management to ensure our position is officially filed with their board.
