Dear Ocps, I think it would be better off if you cancel school tomorrow. Due to the hazardous conditions, I think this weather puts people's life's in danger. Kids walking in the rain are going to get drenched by the rain, Kids on their bicycles can get hit if the driver can't see the road ahead of them, Parents who drive in the rain to take their kids to school can get involved in a car accident due to the hazardous conditions. What's the point of having new laptops if they can get damaged due to the rain. How will kids gets to class in time if it's raining and they have to take the long way? Please Ocps if you really care about the student's safety, please cancel school tomorrow because going to school is not worth risking a life

One hundred people have joined this call for safety. My eyes are heavy from watching the radar but seeing your names helps me keep pushing for the district to acknowledge this risk.

it's too harsh of conditions to expect kids or adults to drive in this. parents always say how us kids are not experienced when it comes to driving, well idk about you but people already suck at driving in Apopka, so I'm not so sure I wanna risk my life with this hurricane and with idiot drivers on the road.

I have a knee injury, and it is hard for me to get around despite the bad weather. I believe that for my safety, and the safety of my peers, school should be canceled on September 2nd 2016.

If you're canceling after school activites for the sake of the storm being dangerous then why make kids go to school that day to begin with. There is no certain time that the storm is gonna hit it could happen during school hours. There is no point putting kids lives in danger. It is safer at home with parents.

I do not think my child should be exiting the house and waiting for the bus in the morning in the rain and moving between classes throughout the day. Sitting in first period wouldn't solve anything either, it'd be easier to shut down the school for the day.

The coast is flooded in above 2 foot water right now!! Ha ha! Open your eyes OCPS! Also school buses aren't supposed to run under above 35 mph winds and this hurricane is sustaining 70 mph winds! So wake up!

Dear, OCPS please cancel tomorrow. Many of my friends are exhausted due to taking cover in shelter due to the storm. My younger sibling cannot sleep now, and a window has shattered. For my deepest gratitude. Please
