At the end of the day, those with a good conscience only want what is in the best interest of the athletes who train their hearts out for the Province. Our Karate athletes in Ontario deserve an exemplary association. One that represents fair play, a desire to always be better, and the love of the sport/art. I support any movement or cause to that effect.

As a 4 time Canadian team member and 8 years of national level competition I have personally seen the decline in the KO organization. There is a reason less and less people are members and compete in KO. There are bullies in the association leadership, and it has to stop.

Yes we need a change, Karate Ontario has become an institution out of touch with the customer base. We need a level of professional executives to engage all clubs, all styles and work for the membership not the reverse.

Something needs to be done. Further increases in fees. Less for it. I have several students who have quit going because of the costs associated with the potential for 1 fight at the age of 9. Inconsistencies and everything mentioned in the petition needs to be addressed

I have a lot of disappointed students who were all set to compete in a tournament that was cancelled due to pressure from Karate Ontario. It is upsetting that an organization is seeking to line its pockets at the expense of local families. The children should not have to suffer. We are martial arts brothers and sisters, so let's not stand in each other's way

I have been a member of Karate Ontario since 1982...and it has gone down significantly. We need better Refereeing, KOA Support Back to the Dojo's; Cost Keep going up with NO Additional Value for being a member. If things don't change - more and more people will be leaving KOA.

I made a promise to deliver the findings of this petition and did so at the AGM that was hosted this Sunday, December 18; but the message was truly delivered by the voters, as that day also saw the election of a New Management Team, dedicated to Changing Karate in Ontario! Our team includes Antonio Terra as President, Anthony Cornett as Vice-President, Kathy Wilson as Secretary, Peter Melanson as Membership Director, Sarmen Sinani as Athlete’s Representative, and myself, Peter Klambauer as Treasurer. We want to thank everyone who came out to give us their support, and are ready to make the changes that you our members have been waiting for! Thank you all and again!

Mr. Cezar Borkowski teaching shotokan over 40 years in Ontario has 12 dojo and 3600+ students is no longer in KO. Why? BRIAN CYR has 8 dojo and 4000 students he is not in KO but why? many more examples of thousands of people training in Karate in Ontario but they left the provincial association. Why? the answer is not what you have been told! Go find out for yourself, do not follow with "blind trust"
