This petition is to help Introduce a policy that allows us to wear non Uniform when there are heatwave conditions - such as wearing shorts and lightweight clothing that is a lot more comfortable to be in then the school trousers and ties.
An alternative to this would be to re-introduce the summer uniform and allow students to wear formal school shorts.
When this petition reaches 300 signatures, it will be sent off for consideration by the school.
Please be aware this isn't a petition created by the school; school uniform should be worn unless otherwise confirmed by the school.

The classrooms are becoming unbearable as temperatures rise and the current uniform policy remains unchanged. Send an email to the school administration today demanding they review the dress code. Text three friends the link to this petition so we can keep the pressure on until they shift their position.

I think it gets to hit to wear BLACK torousers and a shirt especially when doing exams or for those people playing football at break or lunch and they won't stop because there is nothing else to do.
This is a good idea as the kids find it hard to concentrate if they are hot. The school should have a summer uniform i.e. Shorts and polo tops.
It's ridiculous how they expect us to wear blazers in this heat yet teachers can wear what they want as long as is formal? I
Our uniform sticks to us when we get hot and rubs against us when we move it's horrible! I don't think we should have to wear uniform in weather like this!
I get too hot in my school uniform and it makes me dizzy. Considering heat we should be allowed to wear non uniform.

Omg yes please, our new uniform is all very dark in colour a it has be shown that we should wear light weight and white clothing to reflect the sun so we don't become so hot. People will start passing out due to being overheated and a lot of teachers won't allow us to take off our jumpers, this makes us pupils the victim and it's not fair that we have to stick to a set of rules even on a non school uniform day!
