We are writing to formally express our strong dissatisfaction with the current performance of the school bus service for our children.
Before the school term began, the concerns that the addition of two distant pick-up points outside our area would cause significant delays was raised. In Kwoon Chung’s reply, we were told that the route had been carefully calculated with traffic and distance fully factored in, and were asked to not draw conclusions before observing the actual operation. They further stated that any significant deviation would be reviewed promptly.
After two weeks of observation, the reality is clear and directly contradicts those assurances:
- The bus is consistently late.
- No notifications are provided even when the delay reaches or exceeds 15 minutes, contrary to the commitment previously given.
- The pick-up time for most stops have now been officially shifted to an even later time
Children have been late or extremely close to being late to school on most days, and have been forced to rush and arrive in a state of anxiety simply to avoid being marked late. This is unacceptable.
A school bus operator’s primary duty is to transport children safely, reliably and on time, allowing them to enter school calmly and without daily stress. This responsibility must take precedence over any commercial objective of maximising the number of pick-up points or revenue. The current arrangement fails that duty.
We therefore formally request that Kwoon Chung immediately revise the schedule by advancing the pick-up times at the distant points so that later stops, can arrive at school punctually and with a reasonable margin.
I have been calling the bus company everyday since Sep 1, 2026. The bus number 3 pick up the students at lower Baguio at 7:56 and arriving the school one minute before school starts. It’s totally too rush for students. My daughter told me that she was late to school at least two days.
