"We(students) who were awarded loans mostly during the year 2012/13 covered our 1st year tuition fees on our own in most cases by means of borrowing money from banks and individuals with hope that we refund this money upon receiving our refunds from NSFAF. BUT for almost 5yrs now we did not receive our refunds and this situation has landed our families and ourselves in very difficult position causing disturbances both at schools as well as within families. This unfortunate situation affected only few of us because some of our colleagues received their refunds. Those of us who are sidelined hereby use this communique to seek clarity on the whereabouts of our pending/outstanding/unpaid annual loans refund that is taking forever to come,. We would like to remind the fund that our award letters and contracts clearly states that the fund shall fund us for the period of 6 years provided we meet all that is expected from us during the course of the contract, which we duly met.(Just like those who received their refunds). Unfortunately over the years the fund decided to apply selective preferences towards some of our colleagues by paying their refunds while sidelining us. The affected and intentionally neglected and victimized students and their families are dismayed and disappointed in how the fund/or some staff members handled the student affairs with repeated inconsistencies, favouritism, unfairness and unlawful conducts by paying refunds to few of our connected colleagues while turning a blind eye on those of us who happens not to be known to anyone in the fund despite the similarities to our situation. This mistreatment has left us and our families in very difficult positions and we don't understand why the fund is sidelining us this way.. We hereby request that our refunds are considered during this financial year or we will be left without choices other than seeking audience elsewhere regarding this daylight injustice against us.. We have been patient enough but it is now unbearable to keep waiting, we look forward to hearing from your office regarding this matter and we hope you treat and address this matter with urgency..
