We, the undersigned students of the University of South Africa (UNISA), hereby petition the university and the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) to address the ongoing challenges with delayed monthly allowances.
We call on ALL NSFAS-funded students to unite and take action. We call on UNISA and NSFAS to:
We are not asking for special treatment — we are asking for fairness, proper communication, academic support, and timely financial assistance. Our success depends on a functional system that considers the realities many students face

It has been a struggle going two months without data and allowance and what is more frustrating is that there isn't any clear communication from nsfas as to what's happening. I've missed assignments due to not having data.

We need our funds to purchase data seeing that we are not getting data.
We are bursary students because we can not afford the fees and yet we are told we owe the institution for funds they paid out to us and now our modules are blocked.

Unisa students are in crisis. Since July: no NSFAS allowances, no data, and now modules suspended for fees that NSFAS was meant to pay. Our future is at risk due to admin failures. We need urgent action & accountability!

It's very challenging being a unisa student. Our modules have been suspended, we haven't received data and allowance for two months. We have received announcement saying we will only get data only on exam period. That's insane
