The beneficiaries of Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) hereby express dismay in the delay for the tuition and non-tuition fees, thus seek demands and clarity with these petition. Our demands are as follows;
- We demand that the NSFAF or the relevant ministry provide a public statement where they articulate clear iron clad commitment to the NSFAF beneficiaries that their tuition fees shall be settle prior to their college/university registration commerce thus they will not have any difficulty registering due to unsettle tuition fees.
- Such a public statement as mention in the first demand should also provide clarity on the status-quo for the non-tuition statement. Most students received NAD 3 000-00 in non-tuition payments which is only fraction of the total of NAD 21 600-00 (non-boarding students). Some students did received no non tuition payments to date. We seek clarity as to when the NSFAF will be able to settle the non-tuition payments which we believe is long overdue.
- Finally we want the relevant ministry to implore the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts to pursue the probe into NAD 1.7 billion (reported to have being missing) to the best of their ability. There should also be a separate investigation done by the Anti Corruption Commission and the parties involved should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. We demand a NSFAF management and stuff that is competent, that exhibit a sense of duty and serve us with highest degree of integrity.
We plea a response to our petition within a reasonable time as possible.

I still haven't received a cent from NSFAF, both my tuition + non-tuition fees haven't been paid. Bad part is everything is up to scratch and i'm told to just wait, while we're ALMOST in 2018.
