We the undersigned, support an increased tax on tobacco products. We were surprised and disappointed by the Indiana House\'s recent vote defeating legislation that would substantially improve the health of our citizens. We cannot let politics prevail over public health. We take this opportunity to show our legislators the public supports action to decrease smoking rates in Indiana, decrease the number of uninsured, and increase immunization rates.

Watching my own family deal with health struggles caused by tobacco makes this fight deeply personal for me. I am currently spending my days reaching out to representative offices to ensure they cannot ignore the people who signed this.

Seeing this kind of movement confirms that our neighbors care about public health just as much as I do. It feels like the tide is finally turning toward a healthier future for all of us in Indiana.
