The teen vaping epidemic threatens decades of progress in lowering youth tobacco use. The tobacco companies continue to target us with flavored products, including e-cigarettes, cigars, and cigarettes. To truly protect youth, we must take all flavored tobacco off the market and create tax parity with cigarettes.
Indiana VOICE groups are youth-led organizations focused on promoting healthy lifestyles. We work to educate the community about the dangers of nicotine addiction, to prevent young people from using tobacco products, and to assist with cessation for tobacco users wishing to quit. As we and other advocates for healthy lifestyles make progress in saving lives, Big Tobacco finds new ways to hook youth, using massive doses of nicotine, thousands of kid-friendly flavors, and cheap prices.
We are at a critical moment to stop this epidemic. We are calling on our legislators to ban the sale of all flavored tobacco products, and to do it now.

The current level of engagement has secured interest from legislative staff for a preliminary briefing. We are now preparing the formal policy brief to outline the economic and health impacts of a flavor ban for that session.

WHEN WILL THE STATE TAKE ACTION? PRETTY SAD THAT PROFIT COMES BEFORE OUR KIDS HEALTH.
Get these flavored products off the shelves now.
Enough is enough. These companies are making it look so cool and tasty for kids when its actually just poison.
My grandson started because of the fruit flavors smh. Stop selling this garbage to minors.
Lets keep our Children free of Tobacco use. Let us not make this a new candy for our youth!
