The Elgin-O'Hare Extension Project is underway. This is a major project that will significantly impact the look and feel of the north side of Itasca, as well as greatly impact property values. As of now, there are no plans to build sound walls for Thorndale Road by Arlington Heights and Prospect Roads. This is a residential area, and without sound walls, anyone living in this vicinity will be subjected to an increase in traffic noise and a decrease in privacy.
