Land Petition for Empty Land on Thornbury Road BD3
We, the undersigned
Petition Bradford Metropolitan District Council to review the decision in June 2008 to offer only half the available land on Thornbury Road BD3 to the Islamic Culture & Education Association. After further possible revisions to offer from the Councils Asset Management Officer, the Association would be left with less then half the available land adjacent to the Mosque on Thornbury Road. We believe it is completely inadequate for the current and future needs of the community in Bradford 3
Bradford Metropolitan District Council thinks they can just keep us waiting on this Thornbury Road land while they ignore our basic needs. Their refusal to hand over the full plot is an insult to everyone who calls this community home. We are not going anywhere until they stop playing games with our future.
October 16, 2008
Bradford Metropolitan District Council is finally starting to feel the pressure of this movement. We have proven that our community will not accept crumbs while they ignore our basic needs for space. This momentum tells the bureaucrats that they cannot keep brushing us aside.

Give them the land. It will do wonders for the neighborhood.

The community has grown so much since 2008. We really need this extra space for everyone, especially the kids.

Ridiculous how the council keeps shrinking the offer. This area needs proper room for a center or it is just going to stay an eyesore. Let them have the full plot.
