I, the undersigned resident/parent/concerned neighbor, support the need for the Town of Wellesley to make the intersection of Hastings/Cedar/Hunnewell/McCLean safer than it currently exists.

Updates

December 1, 2014

The momentum behind this push proves the town can no longer ignore the daily danger at this intersection. The officials in Wellesley have been dragging their feet for too long but this level of public outrage is finally forcing their hand.

I support this petition. This intersection at rush hour is extremely dangerous and totally unregulated, made worse by terrible sightlines, heavy traffic flow, and no system of order. Statistics do not tell the real story of the madness at this intersection between 7:30-9 and 5-6:30.

I have lived in school neighborhood for 15 years and that intersection gets worse every year. Would be really nice to see something done for the neighborhood and all the children the go to and from school every day.

My three young children and I walk to the school on most days. We come down McLean and must cross there. That intersection is a tragedy waiting to happen.

This is an extremely hazardous intersection and it should not take a fatality to require making it safer.
