Never buying HP again. This laptop was so expensive and it didnt even last a year.
They know its a bad batch. Just recall them already.
I had 2 replacements and both did the same thing. Bad engineering.
Same thing happened to me. Screen went black and never turned back on. Total waste of money.
HP needs to take responsibility for this. My CQ40 is basically a paperweight now because of this exact issue.

GRRR EXACTLY. Mine started flickering right after warranty ended. Coincidence? I dont think so.
