This petition is to demand the removal of Daphne Beasley as principal of Hollis F. Price Middle College High School in Memphis, Tennessee. Ms. Beasley actions in publicly posting the names of two homosexual students, outing them to their parents, and removing one of them from a scheduled class trip because his homosexuality was \"a risk to the school\'s image\" and might cause him to \"behave inappropriately\" are totally unacceptable. Discrimination such as this has no place in our public schools and should not be tolerated. As we learned in the recent Lawrence King case, gay students are already at high risk of harassment and/or physical harm. Ms. Beasley knew that and purposely endangered her students. We the undersigned therefore demand that the Memphis City School Board immediately remove Daphne Beasley from her position as principal and do not allow her to work in any position where she can further endanger students.

Unbelievable. Outing kids to their parents is dangerous and cruel. My heart goes out to those boys.

She has no business being around students. Total lack of judgment and serious discrimination. Time for her to leave.

This is beyond disgusting. She is supposed to keep kids safe not target them for who they are. Fire her now.

How is she still employed? This is a public school not her personal hate group. Get her out of that building.
