The Lochmere HOA is considering converting both Highlands tennis courts to pickleball courts, leaving no tennis courts available in Highlands at all. I learned in early March 2021 from contacts close to the HOA that they are leaning towards this option and potentially voting in one of their next monthly board meetings.
We are not opposed to pickleball, and we are not opposed to the Lochmere HOA making modifications to courts to better serve the community. All that we're opposed to is converting both Highlands courts to pickleball, which would leave no way to play tennis at all in Highlands.
If you live in Lochmere and you agree with this, please add your name to this petition! We intend to share our petition numbers with the HOA board. We have heard that the HOA is influenced by petitions.

Tennis is the main reason we moved to this part of the neighborhood. Need to keep at least one court for us.
Why not just do one of each?? Turning both is crazy.
My kids play tennis here every weekend. Taking away both courts is just unfair to the families who actually use them for tennis.
PLEASE DONT DO THIS. The noise from pickleball is already bad enough and taking away our only tennis courts is a terrible idea for the neighborhood.
We live across the street from the Highlands tennis courts and would not want to lose an amenity that we often walk to and use. Not to mention the noise of pickle ball that travels to our backyard would be multiplied with many pickle ball games occurring simultaneously if it were converted to pickle ball only (pickle ball is loud).
