I have been told by head of 4th year girls (miss ferguson) that if i dont send me daughter into school with a skirt on that i have to keep her at home , my daughter is at home at present as. the school agreed she has a disability and as far as i can make out under the disability discrimination act unless the school has a valid reasons why she cannot wear trousers then the school is breaking the law, also the school says they are all for equality and equal but they are not as its sexual discrimination and also racist as they allow muslim girls only to wear trousers which is not equal and as they may see it as respecting their culture, i see it as what about respecting the rest of the schoolgirls and their culture as the school is integrated and has many other cultures including white,black,chinese,polish etc. the school cannot say they cant allow it because their board wont let them as another school in county down which is movilla high school has already adapted this and they say it is working out great, also priory integrated college of holywood in northern ireland used to allow them to wear trousers to school many years ago. please take a look at this link as its been going on for years and pease sign this petition , thank you
