Henrico pickleball players are ready for the County of Henrico to build an outdoor facility to play pickleball. Chesterfield has had 8 courts at Rockwood Park for years and it is time Henrico County had a complex of their own. Please sign this petition and become part of growing pickleball in Henrico County. Thank you.

Dory Park just completely resurfaced the tennis courts, and I don't understand why they didn't include at lease one pickleball court. I never see anyone on the courts.
Please consider 8 courts. This is a growing sport and as we saw with the Capital Trail, people are looking for safe outdoor space for athletic involvement. It will be great publicity for the county and additional revenue by bringing others to the county through daily use and tournaments , which are restaurant, hotel and shopping dollars.
I live in the Short Pump area and It would be nice to travel 5 to 10 miles rather than 23 for me. Love to play all racquet sports and fell in love with Pickleball. I play at Rockwood but we need a complex in Henrico
8 pickleball courts fit into an area just marginally greater than 2 tennis courts. Not even new construction may be needed. No major expense either, just replace 2 of the many tennis courts out there and job is done. Come on Henrico!
You have some beautiful recreation centers but they are not available often enough for the hundreds of players who want to play more often. They need to be lighted for evening play, too, for those who work and are in school during the day.
It is time for Henrico to recognize the need for outdoor Pickleball facilities.

I am a senior citizen who has greatly appreciated the game of pickkeball as are hundreds of my peers. I see so many empty tennis courts and so many over crowded pickkeball courts. Please consider giving us retired tennis players (as well as non retired tennis players)courts to play pickkeball. Thanks!
