Pickleball is THE undisputed fastest growing sport in America. The game is exploding now due to the pandemic restrictions on indoor sports. This petition is signed by tax paying, pickleball players of all ages, most of all voting to show the desire to increase the number of outdoor courts in Huntington Beach.

The city council can no longer ignore this groundswell of support for our community. They think they can brush aside our need for outdoor courts but the momentum we have built proves otherwise.

With PB being picked up by young and old because it can be played late into life (unlike tennis), it makes sense to build new courts or convert existing tennis courts to PB. It will make HB even more engaging as a place to visit, live, and recreate in.
I have been driving to Anaheim Tennis Center for pickleball in order to avoid the wait for a court in HB!
Pickle courts are desperately needed. There is no reason city tennis courts shouldn’t be lined in a contrasting color to accommodate both sports. The cost would be minimal
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. We currently have over 200,000 residents sharing 4 courts. Tustin has 70,000 residents sharing 18 courts. Please add additional courts in Huntington Beach so that all residents can enjoy the game. Thank you.
This is a rapidly growing sport that contributes to the health and connection if the community It appeals to my 20-year old kids as well as myself and an entire age range and socioeconomic bracket.
Love to see the sport grow and local parks and Rec departments embrace the sport

Not just good for residents, people are driving from other cities and counties to play Pickleball here in Huntington Beach. Afterward they shop or eat out in our city.
