The Richmond Hill Area Tennis Association (RHATA) has been working diligently for years to improve and expand the tennis program in South Bryan County. The four tennis courts (the only public courts in Richmond Hill) are inadequate and unable to accommodate the current and future needs of the program. The plans for Henderson Park included the construction (funded with SPLOST) of a new tennis facility which will enable tennis to grow in our community. To date, no such facility has been built.

I honestly never thought we would see this much movement when I first started typing this out in a frantic state late at night. It is kind of wild to see people actually showing up for the courts and realizing we all want the same thing for Henderson Park even if we have to deal with the slow pace of local planning to get there.

With the tremendous growth that has and is occurring in south Bryan Countythe present public tennis courts are totally inadiquiteand need to be expanded. The SPLOSTfunds originally approved with a tennis facility intended should move forwardfor the health and wellfairof the community.
I drive to Savannah several times a week to play tennis. I am spending money in Savannah - food, fuel, and shopping while there. These dollars could be spent in Richmond Hill if we had a tennis complex and leagues.
I coach Tennis at the High School. We were very disappointed when the recreation Dept. took away two courts at the rec. complex. We had been coducting JV matches there when we had six courts.
I moved to Richmond Hill eight years ago with the understanding tennis courts would be built at Henderson Park.
We sometimes have to turn people away from our team tennis because of lack of courts. This facility would accomadate our Tennis League
Please improve the tennis opportunities and courts in Richmond Hill
This is a great town with a lot of untapped potential. The demand for more public courts is real.

I see lots of softball/baseball fields empty most of the times. Maybe 2 courts on Henderson park would be a good start, by converting one of the baseball courts to tennis courts.
