On the University of Texas courtyard (one of several courtyards) there is an area with a statue of Robert E. Lee and Jeff Davis. The NAACP has complained a bit and the President of the college is \"going to form a committee to ponder options\". Hes just putting the blame off of his sholders. The Texas Division SCV is starting a letter/email/fax campaign to boycott the removal. I encourage you to help us.

The committee is stalling and I am exhausted by these endless delays. We need to reach two hundred fifty signatures before they meet again so please send this link to your contacts right now.

The past cannot be erased just because someone doesn't like it. Our children are being deprived of true American history. We need to make all statuary pertaining to all wars fought by Americans the right to have an historical designation. The New Orleans story made me I'll.

If the Confederate statues and memorials have to go, so do the Union ones in the North. Leave our history and heritage alone!

The Confederacy is part of our history and people should learn about it. Our history should not be rewritten to appease groups that have political agendas.

This is your history. These men did what they thought was right at the time and of more importance is the fact that thousands of your ancestors fought and died for the same reasons. You can't equate the thoughts and motives of mid 19th century and earlier generations with those of the people of today, no matter how wrong they were. They should neither be condemned nor their memory erased. You can't change history.

History should erased. Life and standards were different from today, removing any statue cannot erase history
