Final supporters
We, the undersigned petitioners, believe that Elkas Rise needs a barrier of protection leading from the Nutbrook Trail. Due to recent criminal activity on the estate, where the perpetrator entered and exited via the Nutbrook Trail on all occasions on a push bike, we feel that access control barriers should be installed to slow down any individual if this was to happen again in the future but to also stop motorbikes entering the estate via the path and joyriding around this beautiful estate.
Several other newly built estates including Shipley View Ilkeston, Briars Chase Ilkeston and the estate off Longfield Lane Ilkeston to name but a few all have some sort of protection leading onto the estates from public footpaths and we feel that we should be provided with the same.
Residents of the estate have captured CCTV footage of the perpetrator of the crimes but also the joy riding of motorcycles on the estate, all of this information has been passed onto Derbyshire Constabulary and can be used to support this petition if needed.

Living right by the trail and its getting ridiculous now. Motorbikes flying past at all hours of the night. Needs sorting.
About time something was done. The bikes are so loud and they have no respect for anyone else living here.
Cant even let the kids play outside because of the bike riders. Disgraceful.
TOTAL NIGHTMARE. fix the access points already. tired of these idiots riding around like they own the place.
Why are we the only estate without protection? Sick of feeling unsafe in my own house.

The amount of motorbikes zooming through here is dangerous. Someone is going to get hit eventually. Do it now before an accident happens.
