My name is Samuel P. and I live by Fuchs Park. I am in the third grade and have lived in South Miami since I was born. One of my favorite things to do is to play at the park. I love going to the park and play with other kids. It makes me happy to see that the park is full of kids every day. I am concerned kids and animals can get hurt or killed because of speeding cars down 81 street and 64th avenue. I am doing a social studies project to help my community and I would would like my community to be involved. I want to start a petition so I can send it to the mayor or city council. I am going to write the city mayor and the city council an email to tell them that I am scared. I would like for them to put up a speed bump and lower the speed limit. When I ride my bike in my neighborhood I notice that there are a lot of streets that have speed bumps so I wonder why doesn't the one by the park have one. Please help me make this a better neighborhood. Please sign this petition so I can let the mayor know many of us would like the speed bump. Please share with other people that also might want to sign the petition. I also made a sign that says "slow down" and placed it in my yard. Maybe you can do the same thing too.
