The city finally agreed to shut down the hotels on Harts Road because you all refused to look away. I am honestly stunned by what happens when a neighborhood decides it has had enough. Please keep watching this space as we make sure the closure actually happens.

We as the community members on Harts Road and the Northside of Jacksonville are tired of the increased violence, vandalism and blight stemming from the hotels on Harts Rd. We desire and deserve a neighborhood that our families can safely live and travel to and from our homes with peace of mind. We deserve better. The hotels located at the start of Harts Rd have been a consistent source of problems. The most recent murder on 11/20 was the latest in more than a dozen deaths linked to these hotels. These hotels would not be allowed on other parts of town and the owners who conduct business here should be held responsible for their actions or lack of actions. Let's organize and show our city that we will NOT accept these living conditions. Let's shut down the hotels on Harts Rd.
This petition will be shared with city council representative, sheriffs office, code enforcement as well as the Mayor. We can be the change we want to see.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many neighbors have stepped up to insist on safer streets. We are almost at one hundred signatures and reaching that mark would be a huge signal to the city that we truly mean business.

it’s so sad and ridiculous that my family members from out of town wanted to get a hotel room close to my residence but they immediately said no people having cookouts bringing larger crowds selling drugs doing drugs prosution makes it look really bad i refuse to stop in get gas from that area it beyond sad
I used to live on the Apartments right across and it was always an issue with random people around always hearing gun shots and all sorts of things. There was not one day where there wouldn’t be a cop car,ambulance or fire truck there. It’s not safe there.
I’ve worked in that area & it’s dangerous for families the kind of people allowed to stay in these hotels. Most the properties in that area are used for criminal activity & lived in by the problem people !! Once u get passed these beat up hotels harts road is super nice filled w subdivisions nice housing & schools!! Let’s make it safe again
I am begging for all three hotels and Valero gas station on Harts Road to be shut down❗️ I’ve been in this community almost 40 years and this is the worst I have ever seen I’m praying for my parents Live in Newport myself I live in Biscayne I have a daughter live in turtle Creek❗️We are fed up
Enough is enough. The centralized crime in this area needs to be cleared out. The homeowners deserve to live in peace without fear of being shot when utilizing Harts Rd going and coming. The motel businesses have greatly deteriorated since 2014. This area of the Northside is family friendly oriented.
Should not have reopened.

They will not allow this type of Hotel at the St John's Town Center!! We pay the same property taxes and deserve to have a safe Community on Harts Road. The Hotels and Convience Store on Harts Rd bring Crime to our Community.
