The school found a teacher for the band program so our music students will have their classes after all. I am incredibly relieved that this is settled and our kids can keep playing. Thank you for helping me protect this program.

I have been hearing from so many parents who are just as worried as I am about our kids losing their chance to play music. It keeps me up at night knowing how much this program means to my own daughter.

Seeing this momentum grow made me realize how many of you care about keeping music alive for our students. I am incredibly moved by the way you took a stand for my child and their peers when we thought the program was lost.

Tous mes enfants sont talenteux en music et c’est vraiment d’omage qu’ils ne puisse pas vivre cette passion au sein de leur communauté scolaire . Je suis pour les cours d’harmonie au secondaire. Je pense que ca motivera beaucoup des élèves a y rester au CEF et a s’épanouir plus dans leur école. Merci
Music education is important for our highschool students. The idea of not having music in grade 7 is unacceptable to my grade 6 child who has fallen in love with playing her clarinet.
J'ai travaillé avec tous les élèves de ECF PGD/PMR et le programme d'harmonie. Ce programme enrichie l'expérience d'apprentissage pour chacun d'eux. Ils ont toujours hâte de participer aux lessons. La continuité du programme de PMR au PGD sans intéruption est primordial. Christine Faludi
Band is not just about learning a musical instrument. Band, and arts education creates more complete human beings who are critical thinkers, who have curious minds, who can lead productive lives. Please enable these students to continue with this invaluable learning opportunity.
Continuing an elective like band allows student to find meaningful engagement in the school and school community. There are numerous sources stating the importance of a sustained band program in a school. Grade 6 is a great introduction- then allow the students to thrive!

La musique fait partie intégrante de notre culture fransaskoise. Il est impensable d'avoir une école secondaire sans programme d'harmonie et sans musique. Il est temps de faire le travail nécessaire pour embaucher un professeur de d'harmonie à temps plein pour nos élèves à l'École Canadienne-française Pavillon Gustave Dubois.
