I have received a multitude of Syracuse, UT citizens comments about supporting the establishment of a Dog Park in our city. I have already reached out to our Parks and Recreation and City Council Members, asking what can be done and if the newly implemented RAP Tax (http://syracuseut.com/Portals/0/CityCouncil/Electi... ) (https://www.utahtaxpayers.org/?p=8150can fund it. While I await their response, I would like to capture how many people would actually want this type of dog/family friendly environment. Please sign this petition if you are in support of this endeavor and let’s see if we can make it a reality.

I have sent formal follow-up inquiries to the Parks and Recreation department regarding the potential use of RAP tax funds for this project. The next step is to prepare a briefing document for the City Council members to review during their upcoming public session.

The volume of support for this project has officially caught the attention of the City Council. I have scheduled a formal meeting with the Parks and Recreation director to present these findings and discuss potential allocation of RAP Tax funding.

Would love to see a dog park in Syracuse as I see lots of people walking their dogs all the time!
Dogs need open spaces to play off leash with other dogs. This allows them to build social skills and get out excess energy. This will prevent frustration and boredom. This also gives dog owners a place to socialize and make connections. Syracuse already has 8 parks catered to children and a family oriented nature park. With Syracuse's growing population it is time to serve all populations including dog lovers. A dog park can be designed to benefit dogs and their human companions
Keep our city parks clean by providing a fun, safe park designated for our fur babies to burn off some energy & socialize!
I don't have a dog personally but I think this would be a wonderful addition to our city so I definitely support this.
We need the dog park so we don't drive to much to get our furry kids to play with friends
