Senior Week at ISH has always been a cherished tradition for our graduating class. It's our time to celebrate everything we've accomplished, bond with our year, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Usually held in the first week of April, Senior Week is packed with iconic events like Just Dance on the Plaza, the Catwalk in the Glasshouse, and so much more.
However, this year, the school administration has decided to limit what we can do during Senior Week, taking away many of the traditions we’ve been looking forward to for years. As seniors, we feel this decision disregards our voices and the spirit of what Senior Week represents.
We believe Senior Week should be a time for seniors to celebrate, express themselves, and bring joy to the entire school community, just as it has always been. This petition is our chance to stand together and urge the administration to reconsider their decision and allow us to uphold the traditions that make ISH unique.

As a parent of 3 ISH alumni, I wholeheartedly support this petition. School management has been trying to infringe on students' right to freedom of expression for too long and in this case, threatens to destroy an ancient Dutch and indeed ISH tradition in the process.
The senior week tradition is good for making memories and closing a 13 year school experience. Many of our kids did not even had a graduation ceremony and other celebrations these past years. Let’s not take away even this week from them.
It’s not right to punish a group of students for the behaviour of others in the past. This group hardly causes trouble and deserves the trust of the SLT. Just make sure boundaries are clear and give them some responsibility and autonomy.
i graduated in 23 (was not part of the people who messed everything up) and stunt week is one of my most cherished memories of ish… so sad to see the younger years not have the same experience
Year 13 students are heaving a heavy year with all the exams and all the Uni applications. As per ISH tradition they all are looking forward to a Senior Week and I find it unfair to take it away from them. Please don’t take away this ISH tradition, which is well known as a fun week for the graduates!
It’s not fair that past seniors got to celebrate the traditions but now they can’t? It’s not fair to seniors rn and future seniors

Give these kids their week. They deserve that much. IB always makes a big talk about fairness and equality. My year got their week. Make sure theirs does too.
