We, the undersigned, strongly oppose the proposed breach or removal of the dam on Salt Creek at Graue Mill in Oak Brook, Illinois, by the DuPage River Salt Creek Workgroup. The dam is an integral part of the Mill and Museum and is needed to preserve the historic integrity of the area as a site of cultural and engineering development for the agricultural and energy industries. The dam should continue to be so used and operated by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County in order to preserve the site for the enjoyment of the public.
