Riverland Terrace Neighborhood Association is gauging the interest in support for the closure of Golfview Drive at Maybank Highway.
Over the past several years the possibility of this road being utilized as a frontage road, and the increased use of Golfview informally for this purpose has generated concern among the residents, and an unsafe environment for pedestrians and bicyclists who frequent Golfview Drive.
The oblique angle of approach from Maybank Highway often leads to increased levels of speed on Golfview Drive, adding to the safety concerns.
Please indicate your support FOR or AGAINST the closure of the intersection of Maybank Highway and Golfview Drive below.

Cars repeatedly and willingly speed down Golfview Dr. just to beat routine traffic and the stop light at Maybank Hwy & Riverland Dr.. Golfview Dr is not a cut through road. There are children, golfers, and pet animals in the road that are highly endangered due to negligent drivers and speeding cars. Thank you for taking our concerns seriously while you have the time to make the necessary changes before an unfortunate accident or death toll occurs. Trust me you are not inconveniencing anyone by closing down Golfview Dr. to oncoming traffic.

our quiet little street welch ave has become the cut through for everyone hitting speeds of 40mph plus over 120+ vehicles per day . people walk their dogs, jog, and choose our street for the quietness but sadly the amount of speeding cars and trucks ruin it for us. a SPEED BUMP would def slow them down!!!!!! or even make them avoid our welch ave altogether.

I support the closure of Golfview at Riverland. With small niece and nephew on.that road I watch the cars fly by at a steady flow with no regard for the residents. Having grown up on the street I can say that it was not that busy 10 years ago. Now we must fix this problem.
